The Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang is a world cultural heritage, one of the eight wonders of the world, a national AAAAA level tourist attraction, and a national key cultural relic protection unit.
Located in the east of Lintong District, Xi 'an, Shaanxi Province, The Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum is a large burial pit in the mausoleum of Ying Zheng, the first feudal emperor of China, covering an area of 2.18 million square meters. The museum is based on Qin Shihuang's soldiers and horses, It is the largest ancient military museum in China.The Terracotta Warriors and Horeses of Qin Shihuang has three pits, pit No.1, pit No.2, and pit No.3
Pit No.1 is a main army of chariots and infantry, with a total area of 14,260 square meters and about 6,000 life-size terracotta figures. Pit No.2 is the essence of the terracotta Warriors and Horses,with an area of 6,000 square meters, composed of four units, four square formations by chariots, cavalry, crossbow soldiers and mixed group, it's orderly and impeccable. Pit No. 3 is the command system of the army, with an area of 524 square meters.
Pits of Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin were discovered in 1974-1976, and the Terracotta Warriors and Horses of Qin Shihuang was opened to the public in domestic and abroad in 1979. The discovery of Terracotta Warriors and Horses is hailed as the eighth wonder of the world and a great discovery in the archaeological history of the 20th century.
